Why Choose In Home Physical Therapy?

David Wetzel
“I have worked in the healthcare industry for over 49 years, both in rehabilitation
and home health care. I worked in my capacity as Owner and therapist of
Jordan Valley Physical Therapy Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Outpatient
Clinic for 30 years before I closed it. For the next 15 years, I worked as an
independent contractor for many home health agencies. I now know
rehabilitation can make a huge difference in people’s lives. During my time
working in home health care, I came to realize that something important was
missing from the services being provided. Rehabilitation Therapy was not being
addressed in the home health care setting. I knew this had to change.”
Standard Home Health Care Just Isn’t Enough
Standard home health care is basic care, lacking critical rehabilitation services. There is no back or neck traction therapy, no water therapy for treatment of neuropathy, weakness, imbalance, unsteady gait, Parkinson’s, CVA’s, Diabetics, dizziness or vertigo Vestibular Rehabilitation.
In addition, there is no manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, massage, ultrasound, floor exercises, or electrical stimulation for healing. In fact the basic steam-hot pack procedure for pain relief is still not being implemented in the home.
These patients, under Medicare B guidelines, were not considered HOME BOUND, therefore these procedures were not allowed in the home and only in an outpatient facility. If they were homebound, Medicare Part A home health care would only allow 30 days of physical therapy treatment before discharge. Physical therapy and rehabilitation services are advanced care, which we provide for patients of all ages.
Here at In Home Physical Therapy, we specialize in helping people, just like you, find relief from their pain so they can get back to the activities and lifestyle that they love.
